We’ve evolved a tradition of buying our niece Evalena a pair of shoes when we visit. It began in Albany and continues in Lund. On this trip we could only meet up late on Sunday or Monday morning, not the best times for shopping in Europe. I was kind of worried we wouldn’t have any place to go, but Evalena was waaaay ahead of us. We hopped on the train and went straight to a particular shop in a particular mall in big-city Malmö.
She had the shoes (dark red pumps) picked out and had scoped out the stores. She’s definitely turned a corner.
I think Sweden is starved for labor. Need some coffee? Try the “FikaBot”!
As far as I can figure out Evalena is doing well. On track at school, local internship, lots of friends.
